Mission Organization:  Youth With A Mission

Connection to Calvary:  I've been a member of Calvary since 1988.  I first met David Rees-Thomas, founding pastor of Calvary Community, when we were both 19.  We worked together in an evangelical street preaching movement called Open Air Campaigners.  Currently, I serve as a greeter; a member of the Kupuna Council; and an intercessor for Kealoha, Taimane, and the leadership team at Calvary.

Heart, Mission Field, & Ministry:  In 1965, my husband and I served for 3 years in the Cook Islands.  Joy, our daughter was three when we went and my two sons Samuel and Stephen were born there.  We went back to New Zealand for 7 years, and then joined YWAM in 1975 and have been part of the YWAM missions organization ever since.

In these later years, I am a trainer of others by staffing the All Nations All Generations DTS each January.  After years spent working in nations around the world, and particularly the islands of the South Pacific (Samoa, Tonga, Cook Islands, and Fiji) since 1993, I continue to serve through intercession for the YWAM bases there as well as pray for individuals in island leadership.  Also, I teach Art with a biblical foundation to ICS (YWAM staff children) and Korean students' children.

Other:  I am also in the process of writing a second book.  My first book, The World In Our Hearts published in 1995, is an autobiography about my family, including my late husband Alan, in missions.  It is about our years as missionaries in the Cook Islands, then our life as missionaries in YWAM including pioneer stories of the University of the Nations Kona, the Mercy Ships in Italy and Greece, and much more.  If you would like to purchase a copy of this book, you can contact me at faywillaimshawaii@gmail.com.
